OK, I dropped my carb and the accelerator pump linkage came off. I lost the linkage for about two weeks (found it in the drain pan under the engine finally) and I forgot what it looks like when connected.
The flat metal linkage that is a part of the actual pump is bent, and I can't figure out how to make it work. I put the round metal linkage that I lost on there, (goes between the accelerator pump and the choke) and it looks like the throttle shaft has a piece on it that contacts a bump on this linkage and makes the pump squirt?
My shop manual has only the 1904 in there, and it's pretty different. Mine has no SCV or dashpot.
I was meaning to take my camera but forgot it. So I drew a picture in Paint of the linkage.
Kind of like this:
Note: Not to scale.
