Hi all
I'd like to add a vacuum can to my vacuum power wipers?? so they don't go dead so easyly... NOW would I put it between the carb line and the fuel pump or between the fuel pump and the wiper motor??
Thanks
tim

There is a vacuum cannister on the Mavericks and Comets of the 70's. It is mounted on the firewall unerneath on the passenger side.

Another option would be to look for an aftermarket kit to convert your vacuum wipers to electric. They make them for a lot of earlier cars (30s, 40s and 50s) and I suspect there may be some for cars from the 1960s as well.

If you do the can you could get a check valve like they use on brake boosters that way the 'extra' vac stays in the can and wipers instead of back feeding the system and things like vac modulator in an auto trans and vac advance in the dizzy that need to see quick changes in vacuum.

i ran a stock style dual action fuel pump on both my 61's and never had a problem with them stopping, are you running a dual action or single action pump?

Don't know  It does have the vacuum line hook up for the wipers tho... but thats all I know.. and when I WOT it or close to WOT the wipers stop. Motors running 18# Vacuum at idle
