Hi I am interested in the cost of a rebuild of my 250in my '74 Comet.
2 approaches Iam thinking about
Rebuild the Motor basically stock, but would like to upgrade the ignition, to do away with the points.
It currently has a single barrel carb, so I would like to upgrade to a 2 barrell. I would like to put get a perfomance header and open up the exaust to boost performance. Is a new head needed or an adapter? and what carb would go with it?
The other scenario is for a big boost to performance, I talked to some guys a few months ago and they suggested a 3 carb set up for this application, what other upgrades would be needed along with this?
Is the 3 carb set up going to be a pain to keep tuned? I want better perfomance but reliablity and up to daily driving in various conditions.
I am open to suggestions as well
I got a new ( single barrell) carb ( I still have issues with the the Carb not starting the car and running right with changes in temperature.) I keep having to adjust the choke setting with wheather changes. Whats the best advise on setting the choke so I can get the car to start in cold weather and in hot weather?
