anyone know a good place too look for adjustable air shocks to fit the rear end of my 64' comet? new tires are too big (springs are abit saggy, too lazy/busy too re-arch), and I need too boost the rear end. maybe somebodys got alittle feedback on these things in general.thanks as always.

Monroes won't work even thought they say they will. Trust me, they won't. Buy a set of Gabriel at any local auto parts store. I had a set in my 63 Ranchero for years and now I have a set in my 63 Hard top.

Gabriel's kick as*. bought a set and they are the nicest riding shocks ive ever had on a car. payed about 70 bucks but well worth it.

JC whitney has them as well, and an electric pump is available so you can raise them without stopping at a gas station. I'm thinking of a hybrid system- air shocks, with a heavy duty compressor and tank from an airbag setup so I can pump the shocks up fast. I've looked at several options for installing air bags in the back of my falcon, and for my needs air shocks will be easier and far less expensive.

So, Thor... You going to use a mercury tilt switch to relay the air pump? Nose slowly up the hill and the pump will kick in, raising the rear...

I put a set of Monroe's in my 62 wagon with zero problems and am very satisfied about $59+tax. it was your typical tail dragging falcon wagon.

Monroes on my 63 would hit the frame rail and snap the seal on the shocks between the upper bolt and the shock itself.

Just what I need for my driveway  LaGrasta, I have not even started planning this yet. I'm continuing to deal with carb and frontend issues, so I may just have to install the shocks and pump them up for the drive to the nationals this summer so I can carry luggage and such, and deal with the air system and raising the floor later.
