Aircleaner swappin

Except in winter I replace the Fram 3300 filter with a Fram 327 which is 1/4 inch taller, all the benifets of flippin the lid and more filtering area too.
Anybody know what would be 1/2" taller than stock?

I'm not sure off the top of my head, but you can go to the K&N website and I beleive they have all the critical dimensions there for ya.

Will a 289 K lid fit the 6's aircleaner? I know flipping the lid has the same effect, but just checking if the obvious open element would work too in the summer. What are the dimensions of the 6's element for those of us who may want to go K&N? I'll go measure next time I have the car out if no one knows, but I figure someone does.

I went the other way when I left the stock mushroom-typo air cleaner lid in place for sleeper locks, but fabbed up a new base whose outer diameter fits exactly the K&N filter element (took the lowest profile available), thus creating a 1"-gap all around between base and lid.

I don´t think the 289lid will fit, but I don´t know by heart.
