Another carb question

Can I use a Carter 6-1902 with stampings of 0-2037 on my 66, Mustang, 200, I6, auto? The base bores are 1 7/16" or 36mm and the venturis are ~1". I used it on my Honda V65 blown sandrail, but it didn't supply enought air flow to get over 5 pounds boost. The base is 4 X 2 9/16" and it is 4 5/8" tall.

I can fab an adapter and linkage to make it work with the float bowl to the front since aftermarket ones won't possition it correctly with enough hood space.

How do I post an image?

To post an image, put it up on a free hosting site like www.photobucket.com, then put the link to it inside the tags here.

About the carb, I have no idea - I suppose anything is possible, but I don't know which carb that is.

It was mounted on top of the blower and was too small to allow enough air to be drawn in.

I don't see why this wouldn't work on a `66 200. I had one like it on my 54 Ford with a 239cu.in V8 in it.
The three vacuum ports on the back all go to the base, and the one on the side goes to venturi vacuum.
It's a manual choke, but there are two screws behind the linkage that might be where an auto choke
mechanism goes. That would be nice.

That looks like a BBD. The Slants had them as an option.

If you can get the clearance with all parts of the carb against your rocker cover, it ought to work fine.

That reminds me of the Holley "Bugspray" carb I had on my '72 Super Beetle (back in the 70s). Although it was used on Beetles at that time, it was originally a Ford flathead carb.

BTW: Who hogged out those carb mounting holes???

I think it is the same as the Bugspray. The flat-head carb was three bolt.
I hogged out the mounting holes to fit the blower manifold on my Honda 1100 V65 mini Sandrail. That's what thick washers are for.

Any ideas of what manifold I can use to aim the float bowl to the front? I can make my own, but would prefer a bolt-on.
