Autolite 1100 Carb Squirting Gas ... HELP

I recently rebuilt my Autolite 1100 carb on a 1965 Mustang Convertible 6 cyl 200 CID (Automatic). It is squirting gas out of a small hole on the topside of the carburetor. Below is a picture showing the carb and the hole I'm talking about. Any ideas? :

switch to a different carb like a carter yf rbs or holley i had 3 autolite 1100 and even after rebuild they all leaked and surged at speed the funny thing is they all leaked in different places.

Im fairly sure mine all have a plug there that looks like the rest of those holes with the plugs in them.

IIRC, thats a hole used to drill the acc pump passage. It needs to be plugged or you will get gas squirting out of there every time you hit the throttle.

There is nothing wrong with the 1100. Your's is just missing a part.

Thanks! Yes. Gas squirts out every time I press on the gas pedal. I found a small screw and placed teflon tape and solidly screwed it in to cover up the hole. No gas is flowing out.

Is this Ok, or do I need a special part?

Sounds fine to me. You might want to use epoxy on it instead of teflon tape.
