Bad cold start problem- running trip webers

Hey guys. Im having some problems with "cold" start ups. Im running 3 webers, DUI, and a carter 4070 electric fuel pump with a pressure regulator set to around 4 psi. when i start the car up i have to pull the manual choke all the way and really give it some gas. I can let the car come close to idle but i cant take my foot off the gas peddle completely or the car will die, but even with the car close to idle she sounds like crap. If i rev her up she seems to even out and sound fine. I have to sit for a while like this before she will idle.
Any idea what it could be?

The jets one the webers are a little larger than stock, and the car stays in the garage

Could air somehow be getting into my fuel line and it take a while for it to be primed out?
Maybe i dont have the carbs tuned correctly?

Thanx

8) try adding a little timing. if that doesnt help then you need to get in a tune the webers a bit better for cold running. perhaps richen up the idle mixture a tad.

How much initial timing are you running? you should be @ 10 degrees. Make sure your idle circuit is connected? Let us know how it goes..

Everything ive read says that the DUI should be set @ 15

I worked on it today and i think she's running rich. I got her to idle without me pressing the accelerator and i DRIBBLED a little starter fluid into the carb to see if she wasnt getting enough fuel but she immediately died.

Im thinking about putting the stock idle jet back in.
