Battery cables

Is the ground cable a different material then the positive? I had a ground wire on the positive terminal, changed it to the proper cable. The car seems to start easier. Maybe just cleaning the terminal made the difference.

The copper is the same.

8) the cables are the same. some are red, usually the positive cable, and some are black, usually the negative cable.

There is no such thing as a too large battery cable, too clean of a connection, or too much ground

Howdy,

Since that worked for you, clean the ground strap too. It usually goes between the rear of the engine (passenger side) and the firewall. Clean the block and the firewall.

You'll find everything electrical inside the car will work better. Especially the big electric draws like the headlights and the brake lights.
