Bell housing locating pins

I have a 200 laying around that I was planning on using for parts.

I know for sure it came out of a Mustang.

Will that pan fit?

So I was surprised to find this thing with a '66 date part number and
a 67 dated engine tag. As someone else mentioned, must have been from a Falcon or some such thing.

Ford's part #'s don't neccessarily indicate year of manf., only when that part was first introduced into production. So as long as Ford didn't change anything on the block it would be correct for later years. (until the next engineering change)

200 is old and tired out of a 66 Mustang - it needs to be rebuilt.

The 170 was just recently rebuilt - and my Ranchero originally came
with a 144 - so they look about the same.

It would be interesting to see how many main bearing this thing has as well.

Just for the record - this engine has 4 main mearings.

And to finally follow up to the original purpose of this thread - the torch and vice grip combo worked great!

I got the pin out, touched the burrs on the grinder, turned it around, and pounded it back into the C4 hole location.
