Best Performance Carb for a stock 200 inline 6 w/ DUI Dizzy?

I am planning to buy a brand new carburetor for my 66 Mustang with a totally stock inline 6. The only upgrade that I am going to do for now is a DUI Distributor from Classic Inlines.

I was thinking of either buying a new Autolite 1100 Vaporizer from Pony Carbs or a 2 barrel Weber 38 from Clifford Performance.

1) Any opinions on which way I should go?

2) Is there any other Carb out there that is best for my stock engine with a DUI? Thanks in advance.

I bought a new Holly/Weber from Stovebolt and have been happy with the carb and very happy doing business with Stovebolt.

aahsac,

Thanks for the reply.
What Carb did you have before the Holly/Weber from Stovebolt?

How is the power and MPG?

Did you have a problem getting the throttle linkage to work with the new carb?
Any pictures?

350kmileford,

No. Was planning on putting Headers later on.

Why does the exhaust affect on what carb I should use?

I'm going to put my HW5200 for sale and wanted to let you know. It is brand new. PM me if you are interested.

I had the whatever the stock carb was in 69. I get 19-20 mpg and the drivability was greatly improved with the carb and the DUI.
I initially lashed together some linkage using an long eyebolt clamped to the upright part of the linkage at the firewall attaching it to the carb using picture hanging wire. I drove it this way for a while because I'm lazy. I now have a nice linkage kit from Longacre that has the aluminum tube and low friction heim joints.
