Blown head gasket question 2.3 4cyl.

I got fuel to it . It don't start.. but the minuet it got gas it the carnking slowed and it started to blow smoke out the side behind the dizzy... is this a head gasket?? I still havent pulled the timming belt cover yet to look at that...

Sure sounds like a gasket to me. Might be time to whip out 'dem Tools :arg: :wrench: :x . ~OO6.

Uh......I pulled the old engine and got a new one~!

I didnt think rebuilding the top end and using the old worn bottom would be a good match!

Yea the truck was a Freeby.. and I don't think I want to tare into it... I'm thinking dump it.. part it out. pruity streight for the most part, it has a new carb, and the aluminum 15" wheels.. Now I have the wide pattern bell on my comet with the 303 on it.. is the truck 5spd the same?? well it work with my 200??

I sorta dont get the whole question..

but my T5 fit perfectly with my 200. BUT....I had to get an adapter kit..and they are available pretty easy nowadays... You will still have to match your bell..so a 200 with the 6 bolt pattern or V8 bell pattern is a definate YES...but the older or first out 4 bolt arrangment is a bigger problem for sure.
