Bolt replacement 200 ci head

Hi i'm new to this forum and spent some time searching but could not find an answers i was looking for. I am trying to to find out about what head bolts or studs to use? I have only found the ones that Classic Inlines has on there web site.

I was also wondering about the rocker assembly bolts. i have the old ones but was not sure if they should be replaced with grade 8 or 10 bolts or if there is a place that sells them. i had to remove the head because the ears the manifold mount to had snapped off. It is at the machine shop getting hardened valve seats and a rebuild but keeping it stock.

any help is appreciated

they should already be grade 8 bolts. but if you have questions about the bolts themselves, and really do want to replace them, drop by your local speed shop and take a couple of the bolts with you, there is one that is narrowed to allow oil to flow past the bolt better, and have the speed shop set you up with some ARP replacement bolts.

so is it safe to reuse the bolts to securer the rocker assembly and i should replace the 47 year old cylinder head bolts?
thanks
Max

yes, reusing the original rocker arm assembly bolts is perfectly fine. they dont get the load on them that other bolts do. as for the head bolts, in my opinion it is always good form to replace those. they are kept under tension for long periods of time, and while most are designed to handle that tension, they do still fatigue over time. and in the end these days bolts are cheap enough to replace them. personally i would replace them with ARP studs, classicinlines has a kit just for that. the ARP bolts and studs are much stronger, and longer lasting than the factory bolts are, and are worth the money to install them.
