MY 200 hundred had a EGR valve on it. I got ride of it, but the problem i'm having is the valve was mounted under the carb so now that i got ride of it my carb won't mount to the intake. Is there a space or something i could get for this? Or am gona have to fab something?

So, you've removed the spacer plate which the EGR was plumbed into? OK, you'll need a regular carb spacer. Depending on what year the head casting is, it'll either be pre '69 (smaller carb hole), or that year and newer. Some earlier ones will have the machinings to mount part of a mechanical throttle linkage.

Regards, Adam.

is that the original engine? i didnt thing they had egr's back in the 60's. i thought they came as part of the 1970's emission-era crap.

I modified the EGR spacer plate when I de-smogged my 200.
Cut off the excess and filled the hole with JB Weld, it's working great!

Its not the orignial engine. Its a 200 out of a 78 fairmont. so it had all the emisson crap on it and it gets in the way of every thing. were i live i can take it of sense the car is a 62 and the emison place won't no unless they run block numbers.
