I have a small log head on my 1960 the head and carb are not stock to the car .... I picked up a different holley off a 62 econoline truck the bowl is a sandwich style. the tag on it is marked C2UE FA the bowl reads 2129.
it has some exsposed freaky power valve looking thing... the base of the throttle body mics out at 1.43 ....blah blah blah...

I'm going to install a 1972 block and head in the car and the base of the intake is 1.69.....

should I look for a bigger carb or can I use the smaller carb(looks very small ,pop top bowl) for now....I have no problem with either if it will work.
I know nothing of this truck carb other than it looks like the carb that should be on my car...

That old carb has a spark control valve. See the stickies at the top of this forum to see what that is and how it works with your old load-o-matic distributor. You will want a newer larger carb without a spark control valve and a newer Durapsark II distributor (also in a sticky above) to take best advantage of the engine you are putting in.
