Probably a Carter YFA, or less likely a Holley 1946.
Actually it would've originally had a tag with an Autolite stamping on the corner under a fuel bowl screw.

Well. the tag reads motorcraft

wHATS IT TELLIN ME ?

Howdy All:

Stock for '82 would be a Holley #1946. Holley replaced the Carter YFA sometime around the 1980 model year.

Is there any writing on the carb body?

Adios, David

I'm using a carter YF on my '65. One of the PO put a 1946 on there & it ran like crap! They are a bit finiky to tune, though your car will have most of the smog stuff that you need to get it to run right.

zephyrjoe, where in oregon are you from? I'm orginally from Pendleton.
Edwin
