over the summer i decided to rebuild my '68 mustang with a 200 in it. having found this wonderful place on the internet i talked to a few guys much more knowledgable than myself about the right carburetor to use on my car. wanting to keep it fairly close to stock i decided to go with a pony carburetor rebuilt autolite 1100. which was recommended to me by at least a dozen of my fellow inliners. i finished my rebuild late in september with phenomenol results, the car ran great for the first month.
for the last 2 months when the car is cold it sputters almost to the point of stalling, on acceleration. i have to stand on it to get it to 40. this only happens when i initially start the car up in the morning, or when the car sits for. basically when its cold. it makes this put noise, and there is no power at all. i thought it might be the fuel pump, so i replaced it. still the same problem. i think its the carb, almost positive its the carb, but i'm hoping someone out there will be able to help me out. i'm dyin here. so if anyone out there has divine knowledge of something like this i would be open to any suggestions. please help!!!!
