I bougth a 200 that has a carter yf-3 and a carb spacer on it. the guy i bought it from said the motor wouldnt idle so I know the carb would need a rebuild. He said the motor ran well up till then. Is it a good carb? Is it worth the rebuild? How many cfm? I just bought a 1100 reman. so I dont have to use it. I know it doesent have spark controle but he ran it with a load o matic too. If i was to run it I would switch distributors.

after finding no info on this I looked at the carb again. What I thought was yf-3 was an upside down partial 6 and the - was part of a 4 but the f and 3 were right. So anyway, it's not a yf-3. I can't say what it is other than a carter 2 bbl. guys at NAPA can't tell what it is either. From what I can tell it looks like some carbs on ebay that say they fit a chrysler 318.

Maybe on some early 273 Mopars, also the 2V versions of the slant sixes. That one shown is Email-Carter, made under licence by highly skilled kangaroos.

A good, simple carb with average economy (not stunning, but not too bad).
