Carter YF adjustments

[60FALCON]

It's alive after owning my 60 Falcon for over two years I am finally making progress. I had it running for a few minutes yesterday. I need to bring the idle down as it was running way to high. Does anyone have a breakdown showing where the idle adjustment screw is?

Hi,

I have tried doing the adjustments and no mater what I do it runs very high. Does it sound like a vacuum leak?

make sure the throttle linkage comes all the way down. disconnect it from the carb and start it up and see if the idle drops. check the air mixture screw, start with putting it all the way in and then backing it out 1 and a quarter turns and work from there. also may want to make sure the timing isnt to high.
