Nice candidate for a "running restoration". How much did it cost you?

i got i t for 1000 even. came with 2 extra wheels, a spare on a steel wheel, an extra brand new carb, looks like a m1904 holley, but with a spark valve, some other small parts.how do yu like the air cleaner cover i made out of a stainless steel pet bowl?

I didn't see it for what it was. Thought it looked like one of those vintage Harley repro covers. Not a bad price for the truck.

what is a harley repro cover??? i saw a stainless bowl my wife was feeding birds out of and noticed it looked like a giant crankcase breather when it was upside down and ...

Your '63 has a 57/58/59 fleetside bed. The engine block looks freshly rebuilt, but they painted it blue. Its not a holley 1904. I dont know what that is. Here is a Holley 1904 on my '55 Ford 223

the holley was extra, the carb on there nw is a late fifties carb, from what im told. i tried the holley, but it just did not run as good as the one on there now. your truck is a bunch cleaner than mine, do you have any more pictures of it?

It's not a truck. Its a '55 Ford Courier station wagon (the el-cheapo stripped down Mainline sedan delivery version). I posted some pics in the "EYE CANDY" forum on this site a few weeks ago. Just look for my nick. The photos are not the clearest in the world. I have taken a lot more photos, but dont have em posted yet.

probably wont do too extreme a workover. its staying solid axle, and im keepin the 223. adding a dual master cylinder, and shoulder belts. im toying with the idea of fitting it with a remote oil filter, then using a huge oil filter to increase the oil capacity...

Gotta love a slick, I have a 62' short uni and a 65' short wide bed, just drove to tenn and back in the 62' (1300 mi.) No finer trucks than the 61'-66' Ford truck IMHO. Congrats on a great find.

The bed is correct for your truck. Even though this bed doesn't match, it was used on the non unibody styleside trucks thru '63.

NICE truck!

That there is an Autolite 1100 carb, from the late 60's, not 50's. Pretty good carb imho, and yours looks nice and clean.

Pony Carbs ( http://www.ponycarburetors.com/default. ... tolite1100 ) does a good (if pricey) job of rebuilding them, and stocks parts. Kits are readily available at most any chain store.

Rebuild and other info is available at the Old Car Manual Project site; http://www.tocmp.com/manuals/Carbs/Ford ... ndexf1.htm
