Cliffy / Stovebolt adaptor height

can someone tell me the height of the clifford and stovebolt 1v to 2v adaptors? I have an idea for a custom adaptor I would like to build but need to know how much height I have to work with.

Anyone have the height of the cliffy adaptor? When building an adaptor, how important is it to have the inside funnel shaped? I am working on an idea to mount a 2v carb on the log head and have a real easy to make and cheap adaptor in mind.

The funnel shape will help flow - up to a point - and the small extra height will assist. Can't offer a figure as I don't have one. Making the lower hole as large as remains structurally sound and even, will assist. Guys like Doug have gone a long way making their own adaptors. Be sure it's strong enough to remain rigid under road shock loads and you're set.

The Clifford 1650S adapter is 1 9/16" tall and the Stovebolt version is 1 5/8".
