I have read about putting a Oxygen Sensor into the exhaust and wiring it up in place of the air flow meter to make a closed loop for my XF with EFI.

What is the easiest cheapest way to do this?

How much would be a reasonable price to pay to get this done professionally?

Is it simple enough to do yourself - I am fairly capable with cars..
Has anyone know of a "How to" on the net for this?

A wiring diagram for the the Oxygen Sensor to the loom would also be good.

Finally has anyone already done this - and how much more economy do you get?

I'd go to the Megasquirtforum http://www.msefi.com/index.php, and talk with one of the Aussie moderators there.

Jack Collins (MustangSix and his son mustangsix2) run a SDS computer from America on the XF EFI 4.1 in there 66 Mustang. The air vane needs to go, its old hat and was old in 1983 when it surfaced inthe XE, and even older in 2005.

There is the option of using the early EA (pre EF Falcon) eec system computers. EFI's are sensitive to changes, but you could get away with the early EA MPI computer becasue its cheap, simple, and the sensors and throttle body can be integrated to suit. It avoids all the difficult stuff, and most XG Utes can supply the wires and loom to fit it.

All you need is the 'balls' to have a go!
