Good afternoon everyone!
My latest issue is the amount of cranking and pumping required to start my '65 IL6, new Duraspark, GM module, hot coil and new 8 mm wires. When the car has been sitting a couple of weeks or overnite between start ups there is no difference. I have to crank like crazy and pump the heck out of it. It seems like the fuel is being pumped all the way from the tank each time, like the line from the fuel pump to the carb is dry and there's no fuel in the bowl. Runs great after the start up, no flooding or black smoke.
My thoughts, 1) leaking carb, 2) weak fuel pump, 3) not holding my tongue right?
Help!
