I recently installed some Mustang Unlimited headers on my 66 mustang. For the choke i wrapped copper pipe around one of the pipes, it is very hard to start. Does anyone have any suggestions?
There is only a slight draw of air through the tube. You may have too large of an opening causing a vacuum leak. Otherwise, that shouldn't affect the engine starting. I would more affect the rate at which the choke plate opened after starting.
