Gotta call from the machine shop today, my big log junkyard head is junk! Had my suspicions when the bolt behind the carb was encased with carbon, the one I pulled off my 66, same bolt was a pain to get out I suspect it has some issues too though it ran fine. I don't think I want to keep wasting time and labor at the junkyard, I paid $50 for the head and thats the core charge for an autozone rebuild, anyone tried one of these? How about some more info on shops that can repair them, not everyone can afford over a grand for an aluminum head. :help: :thanks:
