Just thought i'd drop this lil bit of info. Me and one of my buddys are getting flanges made to fabricate headers. The best part is halibrand is water jet cutting them... If anyone is interesed in them i can hook you up for 40.00 each. I'll post pictures when I get them.

you've got my atttention....how thick?
they use to sell starts flanges and tubes on Ebag but its been a long while since I've seen them posted for the small six.

they are 3/8 thick and i should be getting the first ones in about 3 weeks or so the priec isnt set in stone yet but if i can get a good sized order in they should be about $40 or so + sh.. from what i hear they are dead on.. my buddy that worked this all out already has one and is building headers off of 1 right now.. we used a stock exhaust gasket as a templet.. let me know if you want a one peice flange or a split set. my reason for doing this was to make a header for a turbo setup so the ones curently getting made are just 1 peice..

I'll pass if they re off a stock gasket (it fits like crap on the head and the bolts holes are kinda spotty on location) but if he does a revised one and you can take a pic of it fitted up on a head I might bite then.

thats cool this is only the beta version I think that the final version will take about 2 months to iron out and be avalible for sale.. I realy dont want to put out crappy parts to you guys  so I will be testing alot before I sell these things. dose anyone have any inputs for the setup or better yat a template?

8) open up the port openings to allow for porting. what you might do is take a couple of gaskets and cut one up, fit the individual pieces to the head. hold them in place with something like scotch tape once have them where you want them. then take a piece of sheet metal or cardboard or even masonite cut to the right size, and using an adhesive of some sort, press the material against the gaskets and wait for what ever adhesive you used to set up, then pull the template from the head.

another way to get an initial template is to get some gasket material from say autozone, tape that up to the head, and using a small ball peen hammer, you want to use the ball peen side, tap the gasket material at the edges, and cut the material at the crease you make. that will give you a better template than the stock gasket. again remember to open the port openings up some to allow for porting.
