Different Carb Swap Question

I'm almost finished gathering parts for my swap to a holley 5200 and duraspark II. I decided that this afternoon I'd take some time to temporarily put on the 5200 just to see how the linkage will have to be worked out. After removing the carb, I noticed something that I wasn't prepared to deal with, so naturally I came here to see what I should do. The current carb spacer has hoses going in one side and out the other, presumably to heat it up. What I want to know is what do I do with the hoses when I remove the current adaptor? I'm going to use the clifford adapter so the one that's on there will have to go. One hose comes from the front of the engine and the other goes to the firewall. I'm sure they'll have to be connected, but i'm not sure how. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just grab a hose coupler at your local autozoo. When you take the spacer out connect the 2 ends of the hose with the coupler. Or just get a new piece of hose and replace it.

Thanks guys. I thought it would be something along those lines, but I'm always afraid that the simple answer is the wrong answer. Better to ask then to screw something up, I guess.

I had proboems with my carb getting too hot so I removed the line and routed it via the passenger side brace. Just added a section to it.
The other hose goes across the back of my 1100 carb as it was designed to to assist the heat choke in porper operation.
