Hey Guys,

Got a Duraspark II , ignition module out of a 78 Fairmont, and new ignitor coil... Where do I get the wiring set to hook all of this together.... Is there a harness at all that a parts store sells, or am I relegated to searching the salvage yards.... If yes on the salvage yards, what is the window of options that I can give them to search for the wiring... I know the DII came in the mid to late 70's, I guess I need to know if I can just ask for any ford ignition wiring setup for 1976 to ??? what year, and what engines?? ... I just want my salvage guy to be clear on what Im needing to connect everything together, he wasnt very certain when I called asking for the Duraspark originally, before I bought a rebuild from Auto zone, along with the module..... Thanks

Back to the junkyards for you! Duraspark II was used until the TFI took over and can be found in most '75 - early 80's cars and trucks. It doesn't matter which engine as long as the plugs match the module you have (the blue grommet module I'm guessing). The harness will have the plug for the distributor, plug for the module, and there should also be a green wire for the coil in the harness also.
