DIS ignition system ideas

Well, I'm looking to eventually go to EFI using computer controlled timing. That pretty much makes me want to go with a DIS (distributorless ignition system) for my spark.

Here is the list of things I think I need:

1) Crank Trigger (like MSD)
2) DIS controller for a late model car (like MSD)
3) a late model (like Ford or GM) coil pack to connect to the controller.

Am I missing anything. Basically, if I want the Holley Commander system to control timing, I have to have a crank trigger system and eliminate the DS2 (at least the top since I still have to run my oil pump).

Well, if you've got the cash you might as well buy the electromotive system which incorporates FI control with a distributorless ignition system. A buddy of mine used it on both a 260z and a civic with great results.

If you want to go DIY, check out the Megasquirt site.

SDS also offers a DIS EFI system. They also have one that utilizes a distributor with spark management via the ECU (the E-system like I use).
