distributor gear & camshaft gear wear

Is this a common problem whith this engine?
I just pulled out my distributor & there is wear on both gear teeth.
Does anyone make a better gear other than what came with my remanufactured distributor?
I did a search & an old post by wsa111 said a better gear was available.
Can someone help me find a better gear, cause i can't get contact wsa111. Is he no longer on the forum?
Any help would be appreciated. Outlaw

He's got some hardened gears, I'm sure he'll check in with some info for you.

Classic Inlines offers hardened gears, and also parkerized gears(coming soon). The product details page doesn't say how hard they are, though.

8) make sure when you install the new gear that you use plenty of assembly lube.
