Distributor question

I'm planning on swapping to a DS2 for my 67' Mustang and my question is about my orginal dizzy. I have the Petronix Ignitor in my original dizzy and I was wondering if that would swap over to a 63' Falcon with a 170? My girlfriend's dad wants it and if the whole dizzy will swap over I'll give him the whole thing but if not I'll just give him the Pertronix ignitor. Any info would be great thanks.

i believe the shaft on the '67 is bigger than the earlier ones, so the dizzy won't actually work

this quote is talking about the DSII dizzy, but it's the same size as the '67 shaft

Howdy:

The DSII will drop in to a '66 block. The "Better check" year is '64. Prior to '64 the blocks have a smaller hole and drive shaft. It changed during the '64 year.
