Dodge Aries electric fan

So my buddy's Aries is entirely dead now so I started to pirate parts off of it. One of said parts is the electric fan. The car is an 83 Aries 2.2L auto trans. Will the fan flow enough CFM for my 170 or should I look for something else?

Ok, next question, would it be ok to offset it? The fan is about 10" deep from the end of the fan motor to the mating surface

Sounds like the motor is deeper than the blades. What does it have going for it besides "free"? Because there are much thinner profiles and wider diameters for less than $100.

8) yes you can offset the fan with no problem. push it towards the side where the hoses are.

Is a 10" 1000 CFM electric fan enough to cool a stock 200CI?
I wouldn't think so. Mine is twice that. That size would be more for a tranny cooler or something like that.

i have a 12'' for my 200, i had to do a little bit of work to make it fit but in the end its worth it. im running 1500 cfm

No problems in around town driving, and was in the desert :)

Only time I would worry about it is if I were to get stuck in traffic.

I don't have your average radiator, tho.
