DSII clearance

Alright cool. I got 2 of those already. and the head.

Yeah, I went with 1100s to keep my hood clearance down so I could run the oval air cleaner.

I really do need to update that website at some point.

Well I thought about the 3x1 offy but I was afraid to do anything to the head. You made it seem doable

Nothing is impossible with a sawzall or drill.

Once you get over the first cut, it gets easier. I was squeamish before making my first cuts to my mustang, but after doing a few, you realize that most mistakes can be fixed.

Does it count as a thread hijack if you hijacked your own thread?

I'm not sure but it happened. We'll say that was a side note. and looking at your DSII pictures it looks like it's fairly close to the block. Maybe they considered that to be hitting and not usable?

That looks like plenty of room to me

I've installed 3-4 of these over the years (not due to failure, usually due to experimenting) and they all had about the same clearance.

Are they sure they are using the right DS2?

I would hope it's the right DSII. We ordered it from classic inlines.

Can you get us a picture of how it is sitting right now?

No I cannot. I won't see my car until Thursday and even then I won't see the engine for another few weeks. I'm pretty sure they went the old one
