DSII Coil

I know this has probably been asked before, but I'll ask again. I'm converting to the DSII on my 65 200. Any suggestions as to what coil to use? Do all coils reguire a ballast resistor like MSD blaster coils?

I used the Flamethrower 2 coil with my DSII dizzy and MSD box.

As far as the ballast, you'll need a voltmeter to check to see how much voltage is coming from the pink wire. I'm sure the other members will be able to help you more in detail.

When I did the upgrade on my buddy's '66 200 I used the wireing harness from the donor car and only had to hook up 3 wires, power and ground to the ignition module (ford style) and a power to the coil. I used direct 12V from a relay (wired directly to the battery with the old coil wire as the activator)
