Well i have finally gotten some stuff done to my 65 mustang. I had the radiator brazed so that it doesnt leak. I swapped the autolite 1100 for a holley 2bbl 2300 350cfm carb with a summit adapter. I got all new hoses for the coolingsystem/heater. And i swapped in a new DUI ignition from Classic Inlines. Well I started the car on sunday, and it sounds like a champ! I am in the process of swapping in a cable throttle and the throttle response in much faster than before. Anyways to the problem. Since i do not have the gas pedal hooked up yet i am controlling the throttle from the engine compartemnt with a cable. I am hearing a very faint grinding noise from the base of the DUI every time i pull the throttle cable and then let the engine go back to idle. Is it possible that the DUI did not fit right? I followed the instructions perfectly and the unit went in like it was supposed to, but not i am hearing that noise and it is scaring me.
