iam looking at getting back into speedway the class iam entering allows me to use a old cortina with any 6cyl from ford so 4ltwin cam it is.
now the problem i have is the injection must be standerd but iam not sure on computer if so i can get a motec computer for it.
if not i need a way to make the engine run but with out all the smart lock etc working and killing it.

WHERE did you get that engine?

I would run Megasquirt II v3 fuel injection.

If twin cam like he says, I'm thinking XR6 or even a FPV F6 Typhoon engine

nah thats the standerd engine.
most other computers can run the engine but cant controll the veriable cam timing whihc is able to alter both cams.
the stock engine for the base model to the n/a xr6 is 250hp or 190kw
the one in the xr6t and typhon is 240/245kw or 320/330hp and the typhon is 270kw or around 365hp in factory tune.
back on topic the only computer's i know can all the twin cams features is ether motec or the standerd ford computer.

yep on the ba it was both where moved but they dident change anything to the bf just the programing and made the cams individualy timed so exhaust can be 40deg advanced while the inlet is 40deg retarded if you so desire.
