finally, a new engine

Well, as my engine coughs, stutters, and eventually dies as the weeks go on, I have finally found a replacement. Guy is selling me his 200, C4, driveshaft, and possibly rear end for $300. I really don't think I'm ready to rebuild a C4, cause it looks daunting, but the engine, I hope I can handle. As this engine will be my daily driver for X number of years, I'd like to make it run really well. So, please fill me in on some of the things I should put on here.

For example, some popular trends include:
* Electronic Ignition - which one? the Duraspark II?
* Holley Weber 5200 - hehe, this one is ready and waiting
*sure would love to get Mike's Aluminum head, but don't think I have the money
* many of Mike's parts...


I'm trying to keep it fairly cheap, but hopefully I can make this very reliable and run pretty dang good. Right now, I'm getting 20 mpg, so I would like to see similar #s from the new one.

Take it from me, the C4 is an easy rebuild. All you really need are basic hand tools and a good shop manual. If I can do it, anybody can.
