Hello there. Been coming to this forum for some time now, reading and learning the ways of the inline six. Thanks to this site, I have upgraded to a few parts: 2bbl weber carb, and header.
Header is bolted on, and I went out and bought the Lokar Throttle cable setup. Still needs some modifying before it is just perfect. The question I have now is I had gone ahead and purchased the classicinline red anodized carb adapter. After opening the package, inspecting it for a minute, I started to wonder--is this right?
The bolts seem to be "inside" the adapter. [BTW, I should mention I am no mechanic, but I am learning as I go.] So, there I am...staring at the adapter, scratching my head thinking, OK, I suppose it will work...but before I go down this path of possibly causing some damage, I want to ask you all if I bought the right carb adapter which is compatible with the re-fab'd weber carb. I mean, is it OK to have the bolts covered with fuel? Or is it not covered in fuel?
Also, since it did not come with bolts, what type of bolts are recommended for this installation. Looks like allen bolts will be required due to limited space?
Thanks and look forward to learning!
