Yeah, but still probably doesn't move much when there is a restriction in front of it. It's a fan, not a pump.
 
It certainly won't move air like a positive displacement pump but it will move probably ten times as much as a smog pump; neither of which is going to be a very effective supercharger.

Maybe I should have put "We almost thought it was faster."

That was back when I was in college, and drinking lots of beer at that time, the mind does wander a bit.

I understand what your doing and why you think it works but it would have been easier and cheaper to just drop a K&N air filter into it...and you would have probably gotten more power.
