Second off, I have done the same to a 1600cc VW engine back in the mid '80s and plumbed from the engine fan into the oil bath air cleaner (of course, I had no oil in there). Whether it actually worked or not, we didn't care, it was all in fun at the time. We thought it was faster, though.

Yeah, but still probably doesn't move much when there is a restriction in front of it. It's a fan, not a pump.

It certainly won't move air like a positive displacement pump but it will move probably ten times as much as a smog pump; neither of which is going to be a very effective supercharger.

That was back when I was in college, and drinking lots of beer at that time, the mind does wander a bit.

I understand what your doing and why you think it works but it would have been easier and cheaper to just drop a K&N air filter into it...and you would have probably gotten more power.
