Fuel Pump options electronic

Ok well hopefully i don't get in trouble for haivng the same basic post. mine is different as i'm looking for electric and i don't want to screw up the other thread because he does not want electric.

I have a basically stock 200ci which i might run a 2 barrel with adaptor and ds2 distributor in the future. Unfortunately also though a bent 8 might in store for this car in the future.

My question however is what fuel electronic fuel pumps would you guys reccomend that are somewhat quiet (i dont want to hear the pump drowning out the motor) easy to mount (basically not huge) and can meet the possibility of a hot 289\302 in the future.

My biggest worry is whether or not i will need a pressure restrictor for the six. Right now i have a pony carbs 1100, and like said might go to a 2 barrel 350cfm holley. What sort of regulator would i use for an 1100, or is that not an issue?

Buy and fit the return-style regulator first. Then look at a rear frame-mounted pump like Carter. Using one with excess pumping capacity will only heat the fuel and waste electricity.

That said, if parts cost is an issue right now, changing to a bent eight is madness; fuel is getting dearer by the week. I paid $102.24 to fill the DD's tank this week, and they didn't even offer me Preparation H before I paid at the counter...

Not really as much cost, more that i just hate spending money twice in one place (IE i have a working mechanical on the six, i just would prefer an electrical one)

Also the bent eight is fairly cheap for me, because my friend and i did all the machining at school, i'm basically out $50 for the block, $100 for the crank, heads were machined to fit 351 valves (the heads needed new valves so we went bigger) and are gonna be port matched. Friend gave me the cam (comp cams 268xe or something like that) brand new with lifters.

All in all i'm basically right now just converting my suspension over to handle it and still using the six. I love the six alot, and in fact if the 200ci took a v8 bellhousing or the 250 did not cause clearance issues i would have built a hot six with a worked log head. Basically though my issue is that unless i go aluminum head i won't be making near as much power and with proper tuning (I eventually plan to get a wideband) i can be getting fairly decent mileage from the small block with a T5. The cost for the aluminum head is barely less then what i will end up being in for the v8.

I do plan on keeping the six and either getting a roudn body project or building a rock buggy though.

I'm not too worried about gas right now, the DD gets 30mpg and only costs $48 to fill her up.
