Fuel pump/pressure

Without trying to make a short story too long, here is my question: 63 Ranchero, 200, bored, Classic Six cam kit, dual roller chain, balanced, Aussie head, Holley 2 bbl, Pacemaker header. I am going to tub the rear and put an RCI 15 gal fuel tank in the bed. The fuel is pulled from the top of the tank. My question, is the stock 200 fuel pump adequate to pull fuel up then push it to feed the Holley? Any advice is appreciated

Thanks in advance

It may pull it but might be better to mount an electric at the back to push it instead. Depends on the vol. of fuel you need to feed your combo.

8) actually the pump is fed from the bottom of the tank, the fuel lines just goes up through the top to prevent one from losing all their fuel if a fuel line should spring a leak. that said, the stock pump is more than adequate to feed the holley carb.

:? Hi RBohm. If the leak is LOWER than the bottom of the fuel tank,it would possibly syphon the tank dry.Unless I`m wrong.

8) what usually happens is that the fuel pump just draws a lot of air and little fuel. but the actual draw from the tank is from the bottom, it just routes through the top as a vacuum break, and so that it is ieasier to build the in tank sending unit for the fuel gauge.
