I got a 1966 Convertible 3 speed with a 200. It has the 3.03 three speed tranny.
I had the clutch replaced last year. Since that time the car has had a noticeable vibration at 1800-2500 rpm. It does it sitting still in the driveway so I know it's not the drive train. No vibration before the repairs at all. The guy doing my work resurfaced my flywheel and reinstalled it. Could that be the source of the vibration.

I had originally found a bolt holding the clutch cover to the flywheel was too long and hitting my starter. Ground that off flush. But vibration is still a bit too noticeable.

Do you think I'm on the right track?

Anyone know of a reputable place they would bring their car in the Annapolis, MD area for a repair of this type?

My first instinct is that original guy may have put an imbalance on the flywheel when he resurfaced it. 289 V-8s need a 28oz Imbalance (IIRC), so it makes me wonder if he put on it without thinking about the fact the 200 flywheel has 0 imbalance on the flywheel. Since it wasn't there before the work, I would definitely suspect something in the area that was worked on.
