Well finally got my engine in and it cranked up and started took the car for a spin running ok. but after a awhile it died and didnt want to start up again. looked at it and noticed my carburetor is dry, tried pumping the gas no gas coming out( i know for sure got gas in the tank) I put gas in the carb and it started right up. took it back to my garage and started tinkering with it. no luck . next morning it started again but it didnt go far it died again. Well today I replaced my inline fuel filter with the see thru so I can see fuel in it . It started and run good. hoping my old fuel filter is clogged up and bad. Ive read about issues on carburetor here before I hope thats not my case.
Question : Im looking at my fuel filter and looks like its only 3rd full, shouldnt this be full of gas all the time? thanks

i seem to remember there being a bubble in the filter...

where did you put the filter? near the carb or pump?

When ever I've used one of those inexpensive Check-Zone-Boyz clear filters, they've always looked about empty. Car still ran great. I wouldn't worry about it if the engine is running normally.

i have a carter electric pump and an inline filter before the pump and my filter is usualy not even 1/3 full. the car runs fine. should be okay.
