well i have some hesitation and other problems with idle and what not. Called holley and they said i am running out of fuel in the carb and i need a bigger fuel pump. Anyone have this problem. they recomended an electic pump made for a 302 but they said with a regulator and DMS valve it should be perfect for my six. my current pump isnt that old either but who knows.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?? How many pounds does it say that your running?

check the lines and make sure u have no obstructions that would be limiting the fuel getting to the crab and also i would recommend taking the fuel bowl off and making sure all of the little passage ways r clear of any possible debris

When was the fuel filter last changed?

YOu don't need a bigger fuel pump. My stock filter on pump for a 1965 200 is more then able to keep up with my set up, Oz250-4V 390 Holley, cam, enlarged valves, and headers. Never had a problem with getting enough fuel. Your old pump may have a busted diaphragm, or a clogged filter, but no need to get a large pump.
