I finally got my header and dual exhaust installed this weekend :D and it came out great 8) :D  . I used the cliffy header (got it off e-bay) and a 2" Aluninized system I got from C.J. Pony. It sounds great and I can feel the diferance in the proformance end  . I would like to thank everyone on this site for all thier help :wow: . I read this forum almost every day and the knowledge I have gained has been invalubale. Now that my son is home from college maybe I can get him to help post some pictures.
Thanks again
:D Dave

That's great. I plan to get my cliffy header soon with single outwith dual 2" pipes and Dynomax Superflows. What mufflers did you use?

why would you have a single out header and then split into duel exhuast??
i used duel glass packs. they sound good a little loud  but souds good. go to mustangaroo's web site and watch his movies you can hear what our six's sound like with glass's out back. real mean!

all you need to do for the port divider is bring the head in and the divider to a machiene shop and they will do it for a few bucks. really worth trust me.

Mufflers are dynomax turbos that came with the v-8 dual exhaust kit.

I put the port divider in when I rebuilt the motor last year t that time I tried magnum steel but when I removed the old exhaust manifold it was pretty well gone so now I tried an epoxy will see how that works.

Two pipes might be nice but to get "resonance" which is the thing which is mostly responsible for that nice deep note or thrum as some call it, you need cross sectional volume in the exhaust. To make it reverberate.
I was very suprised the difference of going from a 2 1/4 to a 2 1/2 inch exhaust makes. My mates is a 2 1/4 2V mine is a 2 1/2 2V similar systems but his sounds almost standard compared to mine. I told him this would be the case but he didnt believe till he heard it and now he wants the same.
Of course each to his own on this and it depends what your after. Some people prefer to have a little less noise in the cabin. I guess you could always put two three inch exhausts on.

I am going with the dual exhaust set up too, but may go with 2" or less so as not to lose all low end get up. I thought I'd let you guys in on a find I made last year. There are these mufflers that look like glass packs, but have 2 baffle tubes inside like a turbo muffler. I have run glass packs & turbo mufflers & I think these are better. They have the small diameter hard shell like a glass pack & are aluminized so they last longer & they sound GREAT. The best part is the price...$25 to $27 each!
Don't let the fact that JC Whitney sells them scare you. I love mine & am using them in my dual exhaust set up.
