holley carb ID

I bought a '66 mustang 200ci. it's got a holley carb but I'm not sure which type. the engine is a '68 and the head might actually be from '69? it's a 1 bbl carb. there's a couple of number imprinted on it. where do i look to figure out what model it is? was the 1940 the only one available for these engines?

I'm pretty sure my carb's a holley 1940, you can check my site for pics to compare the two.
