I started a thread in Mustang Corral regarding general info about Mustangs, but figured a carb specific thread would be better in here. My car is a 66 Mustang w/ 200 & 3spd.
I am going to be pulling out the Holley 1940 carb soon, and would like to replace it with something that works well on a stock motor (Only mod will be DSII). Since it's my DD and will probably have to finish over the weekend, it'd be nice if I could do the carb swap over a weekend.
People have suggested both the Holley/Weber and Carter/Weber, and I was wondering what the differences are between them (performance, reliability, installation). Going back to the original 1100 from Pony Carbs was also suggested, but I wouldn't mind going with something less expensive with a little more flow. I'd like to add dual outlet headers and possibly some other mods down the road.
Any other carb suggestions are also welcome.
Thanks
Dan
