I have a 66" 200 head that I have cut off the log intake and build a my own intake. I am putting the head on a 250 and wouild like to know how much to mill the head to have 9.5 compression. I have cc'd the head and know it is 51cc's. I know to consider the thickness of new head gasket.

Allowing for the head gasket thickness you plan to use, also need to measure the piston top to block deck height and dish depth of piston.

deck height is .100". and it has 7cc dish pistons.
What is the stock compression of a 1969 250? I know the 250 head had a 62 cc combustion chamber. So if my 200 head that has a 51 cc chamber and I put it on the 250 what would the compression ratio be? If I mill the head .030" to compensate for the new head gasket.

The 1969 250 had a 9.1 c.r. They also used the steel shim head gasket that were about .025 thick.
