How to measure a radiator

how do you measure a radiator? Is it overall dimension,(Including the frame ) or is it just the radiator it self?

I'd just ask 4 a '67 'stang (V8 or whatever 6 ya got) radiator.
Measure 'frame' bolt to bolt on all 4 (or how ever many) & ck that the thickness was OK w/fan etc
grab 1 from same vehicle as yours @ the junk yrd
or rebuild the 1 U got...

typically, the core size is measured (example 20h, 24w, 2thick), and then you measure the mounting bolts and note the hose positions.
in most cases, you can find one made for your car and the measurements just verify that, unless of course you're trying a custom project
